INSPIRATIONAL
Paulette Corrine Neufville (Our Founder’s Mother); R.I.P. 1952-2004
There is a saying that LOVE changes everything. It heals, it encourages, it inspires and it perseveres. If LOVE is the message, then Paulette Corrine Neufville was the vessel in which it was carried from territory to territory being delivered to people in need. Her exemplary life was a shining beacon of charity, compassion and selflessness. The magnitude of her faith and works though known to her beneficiaries, were only fully revealed and understood by others posthumously.
This vessel of LOVE, CHARITY, COMPASSION and HOPE continues today in the PCN-Kids Foundation. May our works in-turn inspire others just as Paulette Corrine Neufville (PCN) has inspired us.
Fredrica “Aunt Birdie” Neufville (Our Founder’s Grandmother); R.I.P. 1914-1995
Fredrica “Aunt Birdie” Neufville was diminutive in stature but a giant in educational reach and impact. As an elementary school teacher for over 40 years, she educated students and developed young minds – challenging them to give of their best.
Using education and church as her platforms, Fredrica helped to prepare children to be responsible young men and women, by cultivating a sense of personal accountability, civic duty, fairness and spiritual balance. Like the sun and a candle that brings light where there was previously darkness, the knowledge and life-lessons imparted by Fredrica continue to guide many in their daily lives.
PCN-Kids Foundation stands in testimony to the inspirational role that Fredrica “Aunt Birdie” Neufville’s faith and works has had on her students, community, friends and family.

“The Saving Grace”
The late John F Kennedy once said, “you should not ask what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country”. I am extremely positive that these scholarship donors considered this before they did their majestic works. Since 2008, I was the first awardee of the Neuville’s scholarship. That was surely a moment to honour. This scholarship was truly a blessing. Thank you is merely an understatement but since words show gratitude, I sincerely thank my donors for their generosity. I will never forget the days of jogging to my bursar’s office for money I received weekly from this scholarship. This was where I even met my first friends. From all these benefits, I had to look on how fortunate I was and so this motivated me to push even harder. This force placed me first in all my classes. This was done to make my parents proud, but also those who have supported me along the way. Over the years, the scholarship foundation has grown and became even more beneficial where awardees have gotten bursaries for school uniforms, books and other items. I was gifted by God and throughout my achievements I have been awarded every year since high school. I have never had a problem financially towards school. Once again, thanks to the “saving grace”.
Years passed and my grades improved even more. This was as a result of the scholarships that I have gotten. By this, I was always able to attain all my necessary materials for school. Thanks to the saving grace, my scholarship donors.
Further more, the Abiola’s family had been there through the highs and the lows. Despite several challenges that I faced during my studies, they were always there for the motivation. It is quite a privilege when people can support you no matter the odds. There were several days when I was clueless where the money would come from but the scholarship was there. It is beyond what word can explain but I am certain that a warm thank you could do.

(Fifth year in the program)
Dear PCN-Kids & Mr Abiola,
To your family I write this letter to express my gratitude for what you have been doing for me over the past three years. The financial help that you gave to me was very helpful and greatly appreciated. It has helped me to get all the necessary tools for school so that I could function better and be able to keep up in class. Just to give you a background check about me, at school I’m in the choir and I’m also the form captain for my class. I try to live up to the philosophy be a leader and not a follower.
To tell you the truth if it wasn’t for the funds that you’ve been giving me yearly I would be sitting at home twiddling my thumbs wondering when I will be able to go to school as I wouldn’t be able to pay my school fee or buy my books. As you know neither my mother nor father is working. It is very hard for us, we face many financial difficulties daily. Many a times my father doesn’t have money for us to go to school and I would sit and cry but because of your financial help I’m able to go to school. Many a times I feel like giving up because out of me and my two sisters I’m the slowest and what they can understand in two days would take me about a week to understand and then I would look back and realize I can’t do that to your family after all the effort you put out to make the impossible possible. To tell you the truth I really try my best to maintain at least a seventy average because it is difficult for me to remember a whole years work for at least thirteen subjects and this brings on constant headaches but I try my best.
Many people say God manifest or proves himself to you in different ways but it’s just for you to be able to realize it and today your family is my manifestation. God has proved himself through you show that he is God and he is able. He’ll always come through for you if you just believe and trust him. To me I don’t believe it’s writing one of the longest speech with a whole heap of big words where some of them you don’t understand yourself, to say thank you. I believe the words Thank You can be said and mean a whole lot to the giver. Today I make this promise to try and do my endeavor best to maintain my grades and make you proud and see that your money did not go down the drain. Once again thank you and May God continue to bless and protect your family and keep up the good work.
Yours truly,
Sachell Hall

Dear PCN-Kids Foundation,
It takes an ordinary person to give a gift but it takes a kind, caring and loving heart to give an opportunity. The scholarship that you have gifted me has provided a tremendous opportunity. It has motivated me to work harder and it has shown me that anything can be accomplished. And for that I thank you.
Yours truly,
Damoy Coke
